Outdoor TV mounting is Tampa's signature service — we have year-round 70°+ weather, screened lanais, pool decks, outdoor kitchens. If you're not extending the living room outside, you're missing what Florida is for. We mount more outdoor TVs than most installers in any colder market combine.

Two paths exist: (1) outdoor-rated TV (Samsung Terrace, SunBriteTV, Furrion) — built to handle direct sun, rain, and humidity. These are pricey ($1,800-$5,000) but bulletproof. We're certified to install both Samsung and SunBrite. (2) Regular indoor TV in a covered lanai — works fine if it's truly under cover, kept out of direct sun, and your humidity stays under 80%. We'll tell you honestly if your specific space supports option 2.

Florida outdoors throws three challenges: salt-air corrosion (especially Bayshore, Davis Islands, anywhere west of I-275), wind load (hurricane season), and condensation cycling. We use stainless steel hardware, full-motion brackets rated for 100mph wind, and outdoor-rated CL3 cables. Anything less and your install won't survive a year.

Why Bayshore TV Mounts

Why Tampa Bay homeowners
pick us first.

  • Stainless steel only. Standard zinc-plated brackets rust through in 18 months on a Tampa lanai. We use 304 stainless steel mounts and bolts — same spec as marine hardware.
  • Outdoor-rated TVs we install. Samsung Terrace 55/65/75, SunBriteTV Veranda + Pro 2, Furrion Aurora, Sealoc, Peerless. We're authorized installers for the Samsung and SunBrite ecosystems.
  • Weatherproof cabling. CL3-rated outdoor HDMI runs in PVC conduit. UL-listed outdoor electrical boxes. NEMA 3R-rated power outlets if we add new circuits.
  • Hurricane-grade anchoring. Lanais are usually attached to the house with concrete tie-beams. We mount into the tie-beam, not into 1x4 trim. Wind-rated for sustained 110+ mph.
  • Lanai-aware. Most Tampa lanais are screen-enclosed concrete pads with aluminum frames. We know which posts can carry a TV and which are decorative trim. We also know how to seal the cable penetration so screen integrity stays.
  • Pool-safe. If your lanai is over a pool deck, we GFCI-protect every outlet, use waterproof junction boxes, and route cables to avoid drip paths. Code-compliant and safer.
Our Process

How we work.

01

Site visit (free)

Outdoor installs we don't quote sight-unseen. We come measure, photograph, and verify structural anchor points. 15 minutes, no charge.

02

Recommend right TV (or use yours)

If you're shopping for the TV, we'll tell you which model fits your space and budget. If you have one, we tell you honestly if it'll survive in your lanai.

03

Anchor & weatherproof

Stainless lag bolts into the tie-beam or rated stud. All penetrations sealed with marine silicone.

04

Conduit & outlets

Outdoor-rated cable runs in PVC conduit, weatherproof junction box, GFCI outlet if needed. Dressed neatly along beam-line.

05

Test & protect

Mount TV, connect power and video, test all inputs. Apply silicone-based protectant to bracket. Walk-through on cleaning & storage advice for hurricane season.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Can I mount a regular indoor TV outside in Tampa?
Only if it's a fully covered lanai with no direct sunlight reaching the screen and humidity below 80% most of the year. Indoor TVs in semi-covered patios fail in 12-24 months in Florida — display brightness drops, condensation gets behind the screen, capacitors blow. If you want it to last, get an outdoor-rated TV.
How much does outdoor TV mounting cost in Tampa?
Lanai install with your TV and bracket: $249 flat. Full outdoor-rated TV installation with conduit and new outlet: $399-$599 depending on cable run length. Samsung Terrace or SunBriteTV white-glove install: $499.
Will the TV survive a hurricane?
If we mount it, yes — to ~110mph sustained. For a Cat-3+ hurricane, you should still take the TV down and store it inside. We'll show you the quick-release on the bracket so it comes off in 60 seconds.
Can you run cable to my outdoor speakers too?
Yes. We do speaker wiring (in-conduit, outdoor-rated) and AV-receiver-to-outdoor zones for $149 add-on. Includes up to 4 speakers.
Do I need a special outlet for outdoor TV?
Yes — GFCI-protected, in a weatherproof in-use cover. If your lanai already has a GFCI outlet within 6ft of where the TV mounts, we tap that. Otherwise we add one ($129 add-on).
