Hyde Park TV mounting.
Bungalow to high-rise.
Hyde Park, Tampa TV wall mounting. We work in Old Hyde Park bungalows, Hyde Park Village condos, and Bayshore Beautiful homes. Plaster-wall expertise. Same-day from $99.
Hyde Park is the toughest TV mounting in Tampa Bay — and we love it. The 1920s bungalows have real plaster walls, oddly-spaced studs, and original wiring you don't want to drill into. The new condos have concrete and steel. The Bayshore mansions have it all. We mount in Hyde Park 5+ times a week.
Old Hyde Park is on the National Register of Historic Places. That doesn't mean you can't mount a TV — there's no law against it. But the houses are precious and the walls don't tolerate amateur work. A novice installer cracks a plaster wall, then has no idea how to fix it. We bring the patch kit. We've never left damage behind.
Hyde Park Village condos and the new builds along Howard Avenue are a different beast: steel-stud interior walls, sometimes 5/8" Type-X fire-rated drywall (it dulls drill bits fast), and shear walls you can't drill at all. We carry the right hardware for every type.

What we know
about Hyde Park walls.
- Plaster on wood lath. 1920s and earlier homes here. We use carbide bits, never hammer-drill, and pre-drill pilot holes 1/8" smaller than the lag bolt. Toggle anchors for hollow plaster.
- Original (knob-and-tube) wiring. If your house hasn't been rewired since 1940, the original cloth-wrapped wiring may be in the walls. We use a non-contact voltage detector before every drill — and we'll spot knob-and-tube and route around it.
- Hyde Park Village steel-stud. The newer mid-rises around Hyde Park Village have light-gauge steel framing. We use rated steel-stud anchors (not the cheap drywall toggles) — load capacity is fine if you anchor right.
- Bayshore Beautiful tile floors. Almost every Bayshore Beautiful home has hand-painted Cuban tile or marble. We bring fitted moving blankets and tape every floor transition.
- Howard Avenue condos. Newer condos here often have a builder-installed cable chase. Free wire concealment if you're in one of these — ask your contractor or we'll find it.
- HOA-approved installers. A handful of Hyde Park HOAs require pre-approved contractors. We've gotten on most of them. We can submit credentials to yours if needed.
