About Us

Tampa Bay homeowners.
Mounting their TVs.

Bayshore TV Mounts started one summer when too many Tampa homeowners were getting nickel-and-dimed by hourly handymen, ghosted by big-box installers, and left with crooked TVs by Thumbtack rookies. We do the opposite — flat-rate, on-time, level-guaranteed.

Why we exist.

The TV mounting market in Tampa Bay has been broken for years. Two ends of the spectrum, both bad:

Big-box installers (Best Buy Geek Squad and similar): they charge $250+ for a basic mount, schedule you 2 weeks out, send a different rotating subcontractor each time, and treat your home like a retail counter. Service is impersonal and slow.

Hourly handymen (Thumbtack, Craigslist, etc.): they bid low ($60/hr) and then "discover" reasons it'll take 4 hours. They show up with a $20 stud finder and a battery drill, mount your TV slightly crooked, and leave the wires hanging.

We're the middle ground that should have always existed: flat-rate transparent pricing, professional-grade tools, single-truck consistency, and same-day reliability. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive — the right way.

What we do differently.

  • Flat-rate, locked in writing. The number we tell you is the number you pay. Always.
  • Same-day across Tampa Bay. Call before 2pm and you're on today's schedule.
  • Real tools, not Walmart drills. SDS hammer drills, 36-inch digital levels, vacuum dust collection, IR thermometers for fireplaces, fish tape for in-wall runs.
  • One crew, every job. Same techs every time. We know the Tampa neighborhoods, the construction styles, the tricky walls.
  • Level guarantee. Off-level after we leave? We come back free.
  • Real reviews, real photos. Every photo on this site is our actual work.

Service area.

We cover all of Hillsborough County (Tampa, South Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Westchase, Lutz, Wesley Chapel, Temple Terrace, New Tampa, Ybor City), most of Pinellas (St. Petersburg, Clearwater), and parts of Pasco County. Same flat-rate pricing across all of Tampa Bay — no travel surcharges.

Our Standards

The standard, every install.

Every job follows the same playbook regardless of whether it's a $99 standard install in a Brandon townhouse or a $499 outdoor TV in a Bayshore Boulevard mansion. Repeatable standards are the only way to deliver consistent results — and the reason our 5-star rating is intact across 127+ jobs.

  • Pre-arrival photo intake. Every customer texts us a photo of the wall and the TV (or its back) before we drive out. This catches surprises early — wrong VESA pattern, wall material we didn't expect, weird obstructions — and lets us bring exactly the right hardware. No "oh, I need to run to Home Depot" moments.
  • 36-inch digital level on every install. Not a phone app. Not a 12-inch framing level. A purpose-built 36-inch digital level (Stabila or Empire) reading to 0.05° accuracy. The bubble eyeball test is for amateurs.
  • Stud-anchored, never drywall-only. A TV mount anchored only into drywall fails. We always find studs (with a pro-grade Franklin Sensors X-stud finder, not a Walmart toy), or use rated toggle bolts in metal-stud / hollow-block walls. We've never had a mount fall.
  • Vacuum-attached drilling. Drywall and masonry drilling produces dust. We use a vacuum shroud at the drill bit so the dust doesn't blow across your floor or furniture. Especially important in homes with light-colored tile or marble.
  • Pre-install voltage check. Non-contact voltage detector swept across the wall before drilling. We've never accidentally drilled into a live wire — and we've encountered enough surprise wiring in older Tampa homes that this is non-negotiable.
  • Photo before leaving. Every install gets photographed (with the customer's blessing) before we leave. Documentation for our portfolio, insurance, and the customer's records. If something looks off later, we have proof of the leaving condition.
  • Walk-through before payment. Customer inspects the install, tests inputs, checks the level. Payment is due only after the customer is satisfied. No deposits, no upfront fees.
Tools We Use

Real tools, not Amazon specials.

Cheap tools produce cheap results. We invested in professional-grade equipment because every install deserves it. Here's what's on the truck for every job:

  • DeWalt SDS Plus rotary hammer drill (DCH273) for masonry, brick, concrete, and stucco-on-block. Cordless, 20V, 1" capacity. Brushless motor, vibration-dampened. The right tool for Florida's concrete-block construction.
  • Milwaukee M18 Fuel impact driver (2853-20) for lag bolts and standard fastening. 1,800 in-lbs torque. Faster, cleaner driving than a regular drill.
  • Franklin Sensors ProSensor 710+ stud finder. Detects 13 sensors at once — no false positives, no "is it here? maybe over here?" guessing. Reads through plaster, drywall, paneling.
  • Stabila 36" digital level (LD-520). Bluetooth-connected for documentation, accurate to 0.05°. Most amateur installers use a 12" hardware-store level which simply isn't long enough to true-up a 65"+ TV.
  • Klein Tools NCVT-2P non-contact voltage tester. Sweeps the wall before every drill. Catches old knob-and-tube, hot wires, anything energized.
  • Fluke 62 MAX+ infrared thermometer. For above-fireplace installs — measures actual mantel surface temp during a fire to confirm heat exposure is safe for your TV.
  • Greenlee fish tape and glow rods. Multiple lengths (15ft, 25ft, 50ft). For fishing in-wall HDMI and power cables through wall cavities.
  • SureCan vacuum shroud + Festool CT15 dust extractor. Drills produce dust. Our drills extract it as we go.
  • Werner aluminum extension platform (16ft). For high-mount installs on cathedral / vaulted ceilings without ladder wobble.

None of this gear is glamorous, but every piece earned its place because it makes the install faster, cleaner, and more accurate.

The Story

Why Bayshore. Why now.

Bayshore TV Mounts started as a side project after one too many friends asked the same question: "I just bought a 75-inch TV — who's a good installer in Tampa?" Every recommendation went the same way — they'd call Best Buy, get scheduled three weeks out for $300+. Or they'd find a Thumbtack guy at $80, who'd then "discover" reasons it was actually $200 by the time he was done.

The honest middle didn't exist. So we built it. Flat-rate pricing locked in writing before we drive out. Same-day or next-day reliability. The right tools and the right techniques for Florida's concrete-block-and-stucco housing stock. Honest answers about what's possible above your specific fireplace.

The name is intentional: Bayshore after the iconic boulevard that runs along Tampa Bay — the longest continuous sidewalk in the world, where every Tampa native has run, biked, and walked at least once. It's a Tampa landmark with no other connection to TV mounting — which is exactly why we picked it. The bay is what defines this region. We're a Tampa-native business serving Tampa-native homeowners.

We're not a national franchise. We're not a 20-truck operation. We're a small, owner-operated service that mounts TVs in Tampa Bay homes and does them right. As we grow, we'll keep that ethos — same flat-rate pricing, same standards, same hands-on care.
