Tampa Bay has three wall types we encounter constantly, and each requires different hardware for the Samsung Terrace:

• Drywall over wood studs (interior walls): Standard 5/16" lag bolts into studs. Easy. Most common.
• Concrete-block (CBS) walls (exterior walls in 80% of Tampa homes): 1/2" sleeve anchors drilled into the block, going through 3/4" furring strip first. Full anchor guide here.
• Brick or stucco-on-block: Lag-shield expansion anchors in mortar joints (never the brick face).

Heavier TVs like the Samsung Terrace (60 lbs) demand stricter anchor strategy — a single drywall anchor will not hold this TV. We always anchor into structural elements (studs, concrete block, mortar joints), never drywall alone.

Common mistakes we see (DIY warning).

• Wrong VESA pattern — buying a mount that says "fits up to 75-inch" without checking the actual pattern. The Samsung Terrace uses VESA 400x300, which is more specific than mount marketing copy implies.
• Anchoring into drywall only — works for two weeks, then the TV gradually pulls free as the anchor crushes the drywall.
• Solo lift — even the smaller 55-inch is awkward. Drop damage on a Samsung OLED voids the warranty (it's "physical damage," not a manufacturing defect).
